A lot of kids love to build Lego cars of all shapes and sizes and race them. One fun thing about racing is off-course winning and to win you just need to have the fastest car. It sounds simple, but do you really know how to make your Lego car faster? Well, here are some ideas. If you are building a race car for a downhill race, you should focus on making it, and the more bricks you add the heavier it gets. Make sure that your tires don't rub against the side of your car, and keep in mind that the larger wheels are faster than the smaller ones. If you can, use Technic axles and wheels instead of the clip-on wheels, they are faster. Build your car low to the ground for better aerodynamics and a lower chance of it tipping over. Put a good amount of distance between your front and back wheels to lessen the chance that it will swerve and crash. Don't add extra wheels, because four is plenty. Adding more wheels increases the rolling resistance of your car and slows it down. Use fenders (covers over the tires) or a wide bumper on the front. That way, if your car bumps into anything, it might keep on rolling. Add flames or a rocket engine to your car. It won't really make it faster, but it will look awesome!
